The brilliant Global Link have started a weekly drop-in for refugees, asylum seekers and friends at the YMCA in Lancaster every Tuesday, 12.00 – 14.00. There is a lounge area and a kitchen where, after Ramadan, we hope to be organising a volunteer-cooked lunch.
We are inviting any Lancastrians who would like to befriend our new neighbours to come meet and talk to the asylum seekers, and/or volunteer to organise food and cook lunch.
Please get in touch with Gisela Reynolds at: [email protected] if you would be up for making a regular volunteer refreshments or food sourcing or cooking commitments
