New book showcasing Syrian food, families and culture

Four women from Lancaster are part of a group of 100 refugees across Lancashire who have spent one year creating a recipe book showcasing Syrian food, families and culture. Rima Al Rassas, Amina Al Hassan, Batoul Einja and Ibtisam Hadifeh developed the book, A Taste Of Home, with local artists, photographers and writers. Later on in the year, Amina and Rima will be working with The Global Village Cafe to deliver public masterclasses on how to cook some of the most famous recipes. The book is available to pre-order online now and will be available in book stores from May 31st 2020. All profits will go to charities supporting the wellbeing of Syrian refugees.
